All are welcome!
200A Main Street, Nashua
9am – 3pm
The Nashua-area community is cordially invited to join the Nashua Masonic Bodies at the Masonic Building, 196 Main Street in Downtown Nashua, NH (elevator at 200A Main Street) on Saturday, October 21, 2017 to learn about the history and tenets of Freemasonry and its affiliated bodies.
All New Hampshire Masonic Lodges will be open on October 21, 2017 from 9 AM-3 PM as a part of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire’s NH Statewide Masonic Open House.
Tours of the building will be conducted and members will be available to answer questions throughout the day.
Members of our appendant and affiliated bodies will also be represented, including Pilgrim Chapter No. 55, Order of the Eastern Star and Nashua Assembly No. 9, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
From the East
As a child growing up, my favorite characters on Sesame St were the loveable Bert and Ernie. The one character would always ask the other the one the same question over and over, and after what seemed to be an eternity of the same question being asked and answered with temperance, fortitude and justice the other character ultimately became Awnry ( No longer Ernie).
Many brothers in our lodge have displayed Brotherly love, Relief and Truth and I want to thank and congratulate them for that display. Collectively I call this character BeRT. The counterpart to this character is Awnry. We seem to display both of these characteristics in our lodge. Masonry and life in general. However, I would like to see BeRT being displayed more often as nobody wants to be around Awnry.
The next time you see a problem in lodge or in your own life, remember people are seeing you as a Mason, and you may be the only representative they ever see. Remember the person you are dealing with may be experiencing a divorce, death, sickness or loss of a job. I hope on that day you remember you remember your oath to be BeRT and not Awnry.

OCTOBER’S PARTY
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came –
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
The flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly “hands around.”
